CAD/CAM Technician
CAD/CAM scanning, uploading files, equipment calibration, case entry, case matching, digital impression processing, reading and following client's instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Download digital scans and prescriptions
- Read and interpret Doctor's prescription forms to design porcelain restorations
- Perform Data Entry functions for digital files
- Upload files for fabrication
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality standards are met
- Demonstrate a high standard of work ethic and professionalism at all times
- Operate CAD / CAM equipment such as milling machines and sintering ovens
- Share responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of the CAD / CAM room
- Represent the company and department in a positive and supportive manner at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with different levels of staff
- Ability to quickly learn CAD / CAM software
- Able to learn / understand dental anatomy and terminology
- Critical thinker
- Ability to establish and maintain moderately complex documentation systems
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-year computer operator or related experience
- Experience with CAD / CAM systems and knowledge of dental anatomy is a plus, but not required
