The Your Smile Factor Process

How to order clear aligners:

1. Fill out the YSF Ortho Design Form with specific patient information and upload it through the Doctor Portal on our website.
2. Take a physical mold of the patients teeth or take a digital scan and upload it through the Doctor Portal on our website.
3. Upload pictures of your patients teeth through the Doctor Portal.

4. After a case is submitted it will take 2 days to design. Your Smile Factor technicians will verify molds and digital files and provide a computer graphic representation of the projected teeth movements, created in the Your Smile Factor software program. This verification process is then provided to the doctor and patient for approval or modification before aligners are manufactured. 

5. The aligners are modeled using CAD-CAM (computer-aided-design and computer-aided-manufacturing) software and manufactured using a rapid prototyping technique called stereolithography.

6. The molds for the aligners are built in layers using a photo-sensitive liquid resin that cures into a hard plastic when exposed to a laser. The aligners are made from an elastic thermoplastic material that applies pressure to the teeth to move into the aligner's position.

7. Once case is approved, the aligners will go into production and the doctor will receive aligners between 10 - 12 days.
